Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Kinroot Labs LLC handles information in our app, Strollywood™, and on our website, kinrootlabs.com.

Effective: October 10, 2026
Last updated: October 10, 2026

The short version

  1. You choose what to record. Strollywood keeps the care notes, growth, photos, videos and memories you add about your child. We store your records and photos in the cloud so the people in your family account can see them. Saving videos to the cloud is coming in an update; until then videos stay on the phone that added them. For now, everyone in your family can see and change everything.
  2. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for ads. Strollywood has no advertising or analytics code. Our website has no advertising code, and it counts page visits without cookies. We don’t track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
  3. A few service providers help us run Strollywood and this website. Examples are our cloud provider and the service that sends your account emails.
  4. Your records are stored with our cloud provider. We protect your information with security suited to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections. We open a family’s records only when the family asks us for help, when we need to fix a problem or keep Strollywood secure, or when the law requires it.
  5. You can delete your account in the app at any time. Without the app, email privacy@kinrootlabs.com from the address you sign in with. Backup copies expire on their normal cycle. A few records, such as your emails to us, are kept after your account is deleted. The full policy lists them.
  6. Strollywood is for adults. Parents and caregivers add information about their child. Children don’t have accounts.
  7. Our website sets no cookies. It counts page visits without knowing who you are. It doesn’t store anything you type on the Contact page.
  8. Questions or requests about your information: privacy@kinrootlabs.com.

The full policy

Who we are and how to reach us

Kinroot Labs LLC is a software company in Georgia, USA. We make Strollywood, an app where parents keep their baby’s everyday care and first memories.

In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Kinroot Labs LLC. “You” means a parent or caregiver who uses Strollywood, or anyone who visits our website or writes to us.

You can reach us by email:

What this policy doesn’t cover

Apple’s and Google’s app stores have their own privacy policies. So does the email service you use to write to us. This policy doesn’t cover them.

Information you give us in Strollywood

You decide what to enter. Here is what Strollywood stores when you add it:

  • Your account: your email address, your password and the app language you chose, so our emails use it. Our cloud provider keeps only a scrambled form of your password, so we can’t read it.
  • Your family: who belongs to your family account, and who is a parent in it. Each person also has a name that labels their entries, such as “Mom” or a first name. When you invite someone, we receive the email address you type in for them. The invite code works only for that address, and it expires. You share the code yourself; we don’t email it.
  • Your child’s profile: your child’s name or nickname, and any birth details you add. These can include legal name, date, time and place of birth, birth weight, length, head size and due date.
  • Care and health notes: feeds, sleep and diapers, plus temperatures, medicines and vitamins, vaccines, doctor visits and things you noticed. We treat these notes as health information.
  • Growth: weight, length and head size, and the dates you measured them.
  • Photos, videos and memories: the photos and videos you add, the words you write, milestones and your child’s birth story. We store photos and memories in the cloud with your family’s records. Saving videos to the cloud is coming in an update; until then videos stay on the phone that added them. If your family reaches its storage limit, new photos and videos stay on the phone that added them. Photos and videos can include location details your camera saved in them.

Some things stay only on your phone: your unit choices, and entries you haven’t saved yet.

Information collected automatically

In Strollywood

  • A random ID for each phone. When you first open Strollywood on a phone, the app makes a random ID for it. The ID is saved with each entry made on that phone, so your family’s phones can sync without mixing things up. It isn’t based on your phone’s hardware or on who you are.
  • Phone system and app version. When the app syncs, it also sends the type of phone system and version numbers for the app. This lets our service work with your version.
  • Times. We store when each entry was made or changed.
  • Your internet address. As with any internet connection, our providers see your phone’s IP address when the app connects. We don’t use it to find where you are.
  • Update checks. When Strollywood checks for an app update, our app update service receives technical details such as a random ID for this installation, the app version and the phone’s system, and sees the phone’s IP address. If Strollywood stopped with an error the last time it opened, the check also includes that error message. If an update failed, it includes which update. The installation ID isn’t your name or your account, but it does tell one installation apart from others. We treat it as personal information.
  • Crash reports. Strollywood has no crash reporting code of its own. Apple and Google may send us crash reports through their own tools, depending on your phone’s settings. A crash report shows the phone model, the system version and what the app was doing when it stopped.
  • Test versions. Apple’s test program lets people try early versions. If you take part, Apple shows us how often the app was installed, opened and crashed. Apple also passes on any feedback or screenshots you send through it.

Strollywood doesn’t use your phone’s location services, and it doesn’t collect your contacts or your phone’s advertising ID. It has no analytics or advertising code.

On our website

  • Hosting. Our web host receives the technical details every browser sends. These include your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. It uses them to deliver pages and to protect the site from attacks.
  • Page counts. A small script from our web host counts visits to each page without cookies. The counts show which pages people read and which site sent them. They also show general details such as country and browser type. They don’t show who read them.
  • No cookies. Our website sets no cookies. It has no sign-in and no advertising code, and nothing on it follows you to other websites.
  • The Contact page. Its short form helps you write an email. When you press Write email, your own email app opens with your message filled in. Nothing you type in the form is sent to us or saved by the website. We receive your message only if you send it from your email app.

Messages you send us

You can write to us by email, through the Contact page, or with Send feedback in the app. We receive your name and email address as your email app shows them. We also receive what you write and anything you attach.

The Send feedback email includes technical details such as the app version and an error code. It doesn’t include your family’s records.

Please don’t email us photos, passwords or your child’s health details. If we need more detail, we’ll ask. We will never ask you to share your password or a code we emailed you.

How we use information

We use information only to:

  • run Strollywood: save what you add, keep your family’s phones in sync, and keep your records apart from other accounts;
  • make invite codes that work only for the person you invite;
  • sign you in and keep your account safe;
  • send the account emails you need: a code to confirm your email address or reset your password, and a notice when your password changes;
  • deliver app updates and test versions, and find and fix problems;
  • answer your messages and requests;
  • run our website and see which pages are read;
  • meet our legal duties.

We email you only about your account, to answer you, or when the law requires it. We don’t send marketing emails. We don’t study your family’s records to learn about you or to sell you anything.

Selling, ads and tracking

  • We don’t sell your information.
  • Strollywood and our website show no ads.
  • We don’t use your family’s information for advertising, ours or anyone else’s.
  • We don’t track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Sharing inside your family account

Anyone in your family account can invite other adults who care for your child, such as a partner, a grandparent or another adult you trust. Each person you invite gets their own sign-in. For now, everyone in your family can see and change everything, so invite only adults you trust with everything. Choosing what each person can see and change is coming in an update.

A parent can remove anyone in your family who isn’t a parent, such as a grandparent or another caregiver. Your family’s records then leave that person’s phone the next time Strollywood is open on it with a connection.

Never share your password, even with family.

Some photos and videos you add may also be in your phone’s own photo library. Your phone and its settings, such as its own photo backup, look after those copies. Deleting something in Strollywood doesn’t remove it from there.

Service providers

Outside your family account, we share information only in these cases:

  • with the service providers and app stores described below;
  • when the law requires it;
  • if Kinroot Labs is sold or merges with another company, as described under “If Kinroot Labs is sold”.

Each service provider receives only what it needs for its job:

  • Our cloud provider. Runs our database, sign-in and file storage, and keeps short-term backups of our database. It receives everything Strollywood saves to the cloud, such as your account, your family’s records and photos.
  • App update delivery. Delivers app updates to your phone. It receives the update check details described above, including the random installation ID and your phone’s IP address.
  • Email delivery. Sends your account emails: a code to confirm your email address or reset your password, and a notice when your password changes. It receives your email address and what the email says, such as a one-time code.
  • Our mailbox provider. Holds our email. It receives the emails you send us and our replies.
  • Our web host. Serves our website, protects it from attacks and counts page visits without cookies. It receives the technical details your browser sends. Through its page-count script, it also receives the page address and the site that sent you.

We choose providers whose contracts with us limit them to using your information to provide their service to us. Those contracts also require them to protect it at least as well as this policy does. Some of them rely on their own suppliers, such as data center companies, to run their service.

App stores. When you get Strollywood from Apple or Google, through a store or a test program, they deliver the app. They may also send us crash reports from their own tools. During the test, we give Apple the email address of each person who will test Strollywood, so Apple can invite them. We give Apple a name only if one was given to us. Apple and Google collect information when you download and use apps, under their own privacy policies.

Kinroot Labs has no parent, subsidiary or sister companies.

We describe providers by the kind of work they do. Before we add a new kind of provider, we update this policy.

We share information when the law requires it, for example to answer a valid court order. We check each request and share only what it requires.

If Kinroot Labs is sold

If Kinroot Labs is ever sold or merges with another company, your information would go to the new owner. We would require the new owner to keep the promises in this policy. We’ll tell you first, so you can delete your account or your family’s records if you want to.

How we protect information

  • We protect your information with security suited to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections.
  • Access rules on our servers keep each family’s records away from every other Strollywood account.
  • We open a family’s records only when the family asks us for help, when we need to fix a problem or keep Strollywood secure, or when the law requires it. Strollywood does not use end-to-end encryption, so these rules, our access controls and our providers’ security are what protect your records.

No system is perfectly safe. Use a password for Strollywood that you don’t use anywhere else. If something does go wrong, see “If something goes wrong” below.

How long we keep things

We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy.

  • Your account: until you delete it.
  • Your family’s records, photos and videos: until they’re deleted, or until your family account is deleted.
  • Entries, photos and videos you delete: when you delete an entry, photo or video, it leaves the app right away. We keep deleted items and earlier versions of changed entries for a limited time, so that every phone stays in step, then delete them automatically.
  • Backups: our cloud provider keeps short-term backups of our database so we can recover from a failure. Backup copies expire on their normal cycle.
  • Deletion markers: a small record that something was deleted stays until it is no longer needed or your family account is deleted. It holds no entry content, but it may show who deleted it and when.
  • Deletion record: when you delete your account, we keep a short record with ID numbers and dates. It holds no names or content. It stops an old backup from bringing your data back, and it is deleted automatically once it is no longer needed.
  • Invites: an invite and the email address you typed in for it are kept only as long as needed, then deleted automatically.
  • Technical and security records, such as sign-in times, IP addresses and server logs, are kept only as long as needed to run and secure Strollywood, then deleted automatically. A record of an error can hold part of what the app sent.
  • Records our providers keep while they work for us, such as update checks, the emails our email service sends, and page counts and request details at our web host: kept as long as each provider’s service keeps them, under its contract with us.
  • Crash reports and test-program details at Apple and Google: kept under their own privacy policies.
  • Emails you send us, and our notes about privacy requests: kept as long as needed to help you and keep a record of your request, then deleted.

Children

Strollywood is for adults: parents and other caregivers. Children shouldn’t create accounts or use Strollywood on their own.

Strollywood does hold information about children: the details parents add about their own child. It belongs to their family account. Parents can change their child’s details and delete any entry. The child’s profile is deleted with the family account. Removing a child on its own is coming in an update.

We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email privacy@kinrootlabs.com and we’ll delete it. Our website is for adults too.

Where your information is stored

Your account, records and photos are stored with our cloud provider. Some information may be handled on servers outside your country. Examples are update checks, website visits and emails you send us.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Our website and Strollywood work the same way with or without it. That’s because we don’t track you, sell your information or share it for advertising in the first place. We don’t let other companies use our website or Strollywood to follow you across other sites and apps.

If something goes wrong

If a security problem affects your family’s information, we will tell affected families as the law requires. We’ll explain what happened, what information was involved, what we’re doing about it and what you can do.

To report a security problem, email security@kinrootlabs.com.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new date. If a change is material, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it applies. Collecting a new kind of information, or using it in a new way, is a material change. We don’t apply a material change to information we already have without your consent.

Your choices

These choices cover everything we hold about you, including emails you’ve sent us. We won’t charge you or treat you differently for using them.

See your information

Your family’s records are in Strollywood. For now, everyone in your family can see all of them. To ask what else we hold about you, such as your emails to us, write to privacy@kinrootlabs.com.

Correct it

Edit or delete any entry in the app. For other information you can’t change there, write to privacy@kinrootlabs.com. To protect your family, we don’t change the email address you sign in with because of an email request.

Get a copy

A way to get a copy of your records in the app is coming in an update. Until then, your family’s records are all in Strollywood. Photos you take with Strollywood’s camera are also saved to your phone’s photo library.

Delete your account

In the app: go to Settings, then Delete account. Read what will be deleted, then enter your password to confirm.

Without the app: email privacy@kinrootlabs.com from the address you sign in with. Use the subject “Delete my Strollywood account”. We’ll reply to that address to make sure the request came from you. Please answer our email. Then we delete the account and its data the same way the app does, and reply when it’s done. If you no longer use that email address, sign in to the app and delete your account there.

What gets deleted: your account, your sign-in and your access to your family’s records. If you’re the last parent in your family, your family’s records, child profile, photos and videos are deleted too, for everyone still in it. Otherwise, the entries you added stay with your family’s records. Photos and videos you saved to your phone’s own photo library stay there. “How long we keep things” lists what we keep for a while, such as backups, and when it is deleted.

Stop using Strollywood

You can stop using Strollywood at any time. If you want us to stop keeping your information, delete your account. Unless you’re the last parent in your family, the entries you added stay with your family’s records. Only the copies listed in “How long we keep things” remain, until they are deleted. You can also delete a single entry in the app at any time.

Making sure it’s you

We act on a request about a Strollywood account only after a reply from its sign-in address. That way, a stranger can’t see or delete your family’s records by sending us an email. For other requests, we reply to the address you wrote from.

If we turn down a request

If we can’t do what you asked, we’ll tell you why. To ask us to look again, reply to that email with the word “Appeal”. We’ll review the decision and tell you the result. If you still disagree, you can contact the attorney general in your state.

Earlier versions

This is our first Privacy Policy. When we change it, each earlier version will be listed here with its dates.
